Breweries I love: Time & Tide Brewing

Time & Tide Brewing, Deal, Kent, UK

Time & Tide are a little local gem around these parts. To me they are a true community brewery. As well as their regular beers, like Spratwaffler an American pale ale brewed with Celeia, Cascade and Citra hops or Urban Goose a sessionable IPA, they also produce a range of beers for Deal Hop Farm. This is a community hop growing project where people all over Deal and the surrounding area take hop rhizomes at the beginning of the growing season and cultivate them in gardens and allotments. At harvest time everyone brings together what they have grown and beers are brewed in a variety of styles. I've personally had the ESB and the Porter which were both lovely.

Time & Tide also do some excellent sour and funky beers, my particular faves being Echo a bretted saison and Bouncy Bouncy Elephants an imperial sour with mango and passionfruit that tastes like alcoholic Umbongo. Check them out on their socials and get some of their beer from their webshop!
