I've been drinking beer since 2008 when I was handed a Sam Adams Boston Lager and realised that not all beer was yellow, fizzy and tasteless. I was inspired to try as many beers as I could get my hands on and found the fun in beer tasting. Are you on a personal mission to try all the beers? But are you sometimes not sure what exactly you are tasting? I’m the beer expert to help you with that.

This is me, probably finishing off my Grandad’s pint of Whitbread Best Bitter, future beer expert in the making!

Really thinking about what is in your glass, and taking notes, is the best way to learn about beer.  My blog and podcast are here to help you develop your understanding and become a beer expert too!

My background is super crazy:

·      I worked on cruise ships as a wardrobe supervisor, so travelled the world while I built my love of beer

·      I’ve done some teaching and worked in tech for a homelessness charity

·      I started Love Beer Learning in July 2020 after passing the Cicerone Certified Beer Server Exam (with 97%), to support those who needed to build their confidence.

·      I now work in Events in the hop industry and 💚 supporting breweries and beer lovers alike.

·      I’ve gone on to become a Certified Cicerone, host a beer podcast and am an advocate for women and minority groups in beer. 

·      I believe that beer is truly for everyone and beer education should be accessible for everyone too!

As a woman in beer I want to help others find beers they will love and learn more about their favourite beverage

I’ve brewed with Wild Card, Heist, Lost Industry, Merakai Brewing Co, Elusive Brewing, Burnt Mill and Unbarred.

As a beer expert, I have been lucky enough to brew with some of my favourite breweries and talk at some exciting events.

My beer journey has taken me to many places - let me guide you on your journey and help you to build your beer tasting confidence!
