Breweries I love: Iron Pier

Iron Pier, Gravesend, Kent, UK

Iron Pier came onto my radar at the Kent Beer Festival a few years ago, creating traditional cask real ale like their Perry Street Pale and Wealdway IPA.

But then they turned up at Generation Craft, a little festival organised by Drew from Boutilliers that brought brilliant craft brewers to Kent. Iron Pier did not get lost amongst the likes of Neon Raptor, Lost Industry, Vibrant Forest and Unity on that day. They had some beautiful barrel aged beers and a spritzy saison that just made me happy. I chatted to Helen about beer and the craft scene for some time and it cemented Iron Pier as a great brewery with wonderful people behind it for me.

They have recently managed to get some of their beers in cans, which I grabbed recently from Macknades and I am really looking forward to them along with another barrel aged beer. They also produce green hop beer each year so I'm hoping to get my hands on that as well.

Give them some love and go check out their webshop!
