Breweries I love: Canterbury Ales

Canterbury Ales, Canterbury, Kent, UK

Canterbury Ales chose a theme and stick with it! Most of their beers are named after the characters in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and their branding follows suit. I'm a big fan of The Merchant's Ale, a mild Kentish Stout and overall champion beer SIBA South East region 2014. The Host, their spicy Christmas beer is probably my favourite winter warmer ever and goes so well with Christmas dinner.

As with my other favourite Kent breweries, Canterbury Ales always brew green hop beers. This year they are brewing Green & Pale, a hoppy session pale and Green & Gold which will be in bottles. No Green & Black their dark hoppy ale this year which is a shame as it is often one of my faves at the festival.

Canterbury Ales can be found on cask and bottle throughout Kent, come down and get some!
