Book Recommendation: Home Brew Beer by Greg Hughes

Do you remember as a kid grabbing those big Dorling Kindersley books about Dinosaurs or Bugs or Kings and Queens of Britain off the library shelf and finding great info laid out really clearly? Well this is that for brewing!

I'm a big fan of the brewing recipes in this book. I scale them down to my batch size. They are mostly for about 20lt batches and I do 5lt but you get a really good idea of what ingredients will work for the styles you want to brew.

The raspberry wheat recipe was the basis of my own recipe for that style and with a few of my own special tweaks (fruit tea!) I made my first awesome fruit beer, and fruit beer is HARD! So if you are looking to get into brewing, or just want to know a bit more about it, go grab this one off the shelf, just like you did when you were a kid!
