Chat with Siren Craft Brew

Not one, but two guests in a row on A Woman’s Brew: The Podcast! This week we were lucky enough to chat with Matt from Siren Craft Brew. Matt is their events manager and started working for Siren just before Lockdown started here in the UK. He talks us through how the brewery pivoted to digital events, where their ideas come from for this and what plans they have for the future. If you want to hear our full conversation, make sure you listen above! And if you want to get involved in some of Siren’s digital events, check out their webshop here.

Beer blending with Wild Beer Co

Beer blending with Wild Beer Co

I’ve been really impressed with the digital and virtual events that breweries have put on during the various lockdowns over the last year. It’s not only meant that we can continue to support our favourite breweries, but it has allowed more people to take part in events they normally wouldn’t be able to get to.

Tori and I took part in Brewdog Collabfest last year digitally and reviewed it thoroughly in our podcast episode here if you missed it. This event is usually held in the bars, so if there isn’t one near you, you can’t take part.

I enjoyed all of the Wild Beer Co virtual beer tastings last year. They provided a tasting box for each one and a live stream on their Facebook page. My favourite was the virtual beer & cheese festival, which happened to coincide with our wedding anniversary, making it all the more special. Wild Beer Co are still putting out events so check them out on their website here.

Tour & Tasting with Duration

Tour & Tasting with Duration

Duration organise a brewery tour and tasting every month with a box of beer for you to purchase. Their brewery is in Norfolk in converted farm buildings and alongside their core beers they have a barrel project that has just put out it’s first beer Time Marches On. Bates and Miranda put out a great energy and talk knowledgeably about their farm to glass processes. I highly recommend attending one of their tours if you haven’t already - check them out here.
