My top 9 beers of 2020

In the craft beer community, it is traditional to pick your top 9 beers of the year. And as today is New Year’s Eve, I thought it the best time to share mine with you!

In no particular order:

Arcade City by Brewdog Overworks - Sour Stout

Raspberry Skies by Vault City - Raspberry Sour

Valkyrie Vendetta by Brewdog Overworks - Cherry & Hazelnut Sour

One Winged Angel by Boutilliers - Raspberry Brown Stout

Affogato by Siren Brew Co - Coffee Ice Cream Pale Ale

Neo Normal by Siren Beer Co x Yakima Chief Hops - American IPA hopped with Talus

Coffee & Bramble sour by Vault City - Coffee & Blackberry sour

Stout Pout by Wasted Degrees - Raspberry Stout

Clusters by Neon Raptor - Peanut Butter & Chocolate Milk Stout

Usually I try not to repeat breweries, but my drinking habits have changed this year - I’ve been buying direct from breweries and not being able to try the variety available at bars I’ve had quite a lot from certain breweries. I’m happy with this top 9 though - I think it really shows what beers I like.

My top brewery of the year are my locals, Boutilliers - they have put out some amazing beers this year, support your small, local independent breweries everyone!

I love trying new beers and discovering new flavours and aromas. If you do too, I’ve got a course that can help build your confidence in beer tasting starting on 11th January! Come join us on Build Your Beer Vocabulary here.
