Episode 204 - Lager Series: Vienna Lager

We are showcasing one of Jo’s fave beer styles for this edition of our lager series – Vienna lager.  In fact, it’s the style that got her into beer!  Tori’s more of a Marzen fan, but each to their own.

Looking at the history of Vienna lager, we meet our old friends Anton Dreher and Gabriel Sadlmayer (those thieving brewers with their walking sticks), find out who brews better – head brewers or ghosts, and how the best versions of beers may be picked by our feline friends.

We found two great examples of the Vienna lager style from home and abroad:

Elements #12 Vienna lager from Wild Horse in Wales

Chungdamdong Myuhnuri by Artmonster Brewery in Korea

This can be a difficult style to find, but if you do let us know where you got it!
