Episode 165 - Lager Series: Marzen

We are a bit late for Oktoberfest this year, but we’d drink a Marzen all year round!  Continuing our lager series, we’re moving to Munich and the beer festival of all beer festivals.  Marzen was one of the original beers drunk at Oktoberfest, so lets look at its origins and what you should expect from the style.

Beers we tried:

Klosterbrauerei Weissenohe - Eucharius Marzen

Kulmbacher Brauerei - Mönchshof Märzen

Klosterbrauerei Weltenburg - Weltenburger Anno 1050

Duration - Harvest Bier

Jo is passionate about Marzens and how they should be true to style – listen in full to see which we recommend.
